![]() P3 cluster group topics may change each year. The current P3 groups are Critical Practices, the (Meta)Physics of Light, Material Matters and Urban Agency. Group members of cluster-specific P3 courses will have first enrollment priority. Students may take P3 courses that are not part of their cluster, for additional electives, provided there is capacity in the course. Regardless of what is offered in any particular P3 cluster, students must complete all B.Arch requirements: two Options studios, 166 credit units, etc. Some P3 clusters include a required 1-unit colloquium every semester in addition to the above requirements. P3 cluster groups are comprised of faculty, staff and students devoted to a topical inquiry. In the Research + Innovation Phase, students engage in design research by joining a P3 cluster group that offers thematically related courses and culminates in a capstone project. It must be returned to the School of Architecture by the deadline to ensure acceptance into the Professional Phase. Summer students can only be evaluated only after the formal receipt of grades.Ī Notification of Acceptance form will be sent to students who pass the Milestone. ![]() Students will be notified of advancement into the Core Phase as soon as grades are available, typically end of May for students who began in the fall and early August for students who began in the spring. The average grades from these courses is part of the Milestone score. In ARC 121 Physical Principles of the Built Environment, students study physics for architects using math, modeling and experimentation.
